Accessibility Statement

At Brown Dental, we want every family to be able to use our website. This statement explains what we are doing to improve accessibility, where we still have work to do, and how to reach us if you need help.

Effective Date: September 30, 2026

Our Commitment to Accessibility

At Brown Dental, we believe every family should be able to find information about their child’s dental care and reach our office without unnecessary barriers. We welcome patients of all abilities, and that commitment extends to our website. Parents, guardians, and caregivers use our site to learn about our services, review insurance and financing information, and request appointments, so we want each of those tasks to be possible for as many people as we can reach.

This Accessibility Statement explains what we are doing to make our website easier to use, where we know we still have work to do, and how you can reach us if you run into a problem. We are a pediatric dental practice in Stockbridge, Georgia, and we serve families throughout Henry County. We would rather be open about our progress than make promises we cannot keep.

The Standards We Use as a Guide

We look to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, as our reference point for building and updating pages. These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with visual, hearing, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. They are organized around four ideas. Content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.

Using these guidelines as a guide does not mean that every page on our site meets them today. We have not claimed full conformance, and we do not want you to assume it. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we treat it that way as we update our pages.

What We Do to Support Accessibility

When we write and update pages, we take several steps to make our content easier to use.

  • We organize pages with clear headings so that visitors, including those who use screen readers, can find the section they need.
  • We write in plain language and explain dental terms so that parents can follow our information without a dental background.
  • We review the text descriptions of images as we update pages so that the image content is available to people who cannot see it.
  • We offer more than one way to reach us, including a call button, a contact form, and the email address listed in the Visit Us section of our pages.

You can read more about how we prepare our content on our Editorial Guidelines page.

Known Limitations

Some parts of our website may not yet be fully accessible. For example, certain form fields, embedded maps, and older page elements may be harder to use with assistive technology such as a screen reader or keyboard-only navigation. We are aware that this can make tasks like requesting an appointment more difficult for some visitors, and we would like to hear about it if that happens to you.

If you cannot use a part of our website, please do not struggle through it. Call our office or send a message through our contact form, and our team will help you with the information you need or with scheduling your child’s visit. You can also learn how to become a patient on our New Patients page.

Third-Party Content and Links

Some features on our website come from other companies, and we do not control how accessible they are. These include the map on our pages, our social media links, and the financing partners we describe on our Financing page. Our Terms and Conditions also explain that we do not take responsibility for third-party websites. If you have trouble with a third-party tool, please tell us and we will do our best to help you complete the task another way.

Accessibility at Our Practice

Accessibility matters to us beyond the screen. Our team welcomes patients of all abilities and offers attentive, individualized care for children with special health care needs. If your child has specific needs, or if you have questions about how a visit will work, please contact us before your appointment so that Dr. Jelani Brown and our team can plan with you. You can learn more about our approach on our Meet Dr. Brown page and our About Us page.

Feedback and Requests for Help

We welcome your feedback about the accessibility of our website. If you find a barrier, want information in a different format, or have a suggestion, please tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If you use assistive technology, it also helps to know which browser and device you were using.

We will review every message and make reasonable efforts to give you the information you need in another way. We cannot promise that every request can be met right away, but we will take your feedback seriously as we update our pages.

Privacy When You Contact Us

Please do not include sensitive health details in a general contact message. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and protected health information.

Changes to This Statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement as we make improvements to our website. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back from time to time.
